This temple, nestled in the Simla Hills, was designed for His Highness Raja Anand Chand of the Bilaspur state. Great care was given by Batley to adhere to and respect, the traditional forms of the Indian temples. And thus, usual design cues and elaborations were kept to a minimum, making it suitable for construction with brick, plaster and RCC, the materials with which it was built.
