Designed in 1943 for the last ruler of Dhar, Maharaja AnandRaoPuar IV. It was a renovation of an existing palace, which the king saw fit to be made into his residence. Gregson, Batley and King were selected so that the palace could be renovated in a modern way, while keeping the colonial aesthetics preserved.
