Built in the 1930s for Mr. J.K Seervai, this apartment complex sits on a sloping site. Batley provided a base made from stone, giving it a height close to nine feet on the front elevation. The super structure was, in contrast, plain with sharp edges. The roof was made from timber, and covered with Mangalore tiles. Furthermore, the roof was fragmented to accommodate a number of dormer windows, thus breaking its mass.
