Designed for the Cricket Club of India. Built in 1932,the 25,000 capacity stadium hosted numerous Test and ODI matches. The structure has a pavilion and three public stands, namely the West, North and East Stand. The three public stands face the clubhouse from three different sides of the ground and are sheltered by cavernous, overhanging roofs. The ground still remains in service.
