The production facility in was designed for the Khatau-Junker Ltd., a company that specialized in making electrical, chemical and dye products. In the 80s, the facility produced electrical capacitors under partnership with Otto Junker Germany. This decade also saw the company diversifying into more chemical products, hence the need for a newer, better production facility.
